THERMOFORMING INSTRUCTIONS


LAMINATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Align and attach inner former to prepared model.
  2. Place PVA bag over mode, trim PVA bag around the inner former and seal with electrical tape.
  3. Apply carbon fiber (lay-up material) over model, making sure that the spikes protrude through carbon fiber.
  4. Apply resin deterrent to the threads on inner former and in two holes on the top of the outer former.
  5. Attach outer form to inner former and hand tighten compression nut to center stud.
  6. Pull outer PVA bag over the model and the LPFK.
  7. Pour in resin, make sure it saturates all the lay-up material.
  8. Remove excess resin.
  9. Seal off the outer PVA bag around the compression nut.
  10. When resin gels, cut around the base of the compression nut.
  11. When resin cures, remove compression nut.
  12. Attach parting tool with attachment bolts to outer former
    Place center drive bolt to appropriate center threaded place.
    Carefully tighten drive bolt to separate inner and outer former.

THERMOFORMING FIXTURE INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Adjust set screws with a 9/64 allen wrench to perforation preferences.
  2. Carefully adhere the fixture limb model with plaster.
    The set screws must be facing up to assure perforation of plastic.
    Be sure to align the four hole pattern with the line of progression.
    Do not allow any of excess plaster to get on the outside of the fixture, for this will cause the lock to fit loosely.
  3. Proceed to thermoform and fabricate socket to your specifications.
